Refund Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
clearance.rest runs on a prepaid USD balance. This policy explains what is refunded automatically, what you can ask us to refund, and what is not refunded. The Service is operated by Clearance Rest.
Payments and Polar
Top-ups are collected by Polar, the Merchant of Record for your purchase. Refunds of top-ups are issued through Polar to the payment method you used. The minimum top-up is $10.
Automatic refunds on usage
- A captcha that fails or times out is not charged.
- A temporary phone number that receives no SMS is refunded to your balance when it expires or is released.
- Money held while an operation is running is released back to your balance if the operation does not complete.
Unused balance
You can ask for your unused balance to be refunded. The owner of the account makes the request from the console (or by writing to us), and we review and approve it.
- The refund is at most your unused balance. Balance you have already spent is not refunded.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method, starting with your most recent top-ups and working back.
- When an order is refunded, the payment processing fee on that order is not returned to us. That fee, in proportion to the amount refunded, is deducted from the refund.
- The refunded amount is removed from your balance. How long it takes to arrive depends on your bank or card issuer.
Charges for completed work
Operations that completed and were charged, such as a solved captcha, a rented number that received an SMS or a delivered email, are not refunded. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us and we will look into it.
Suspended accounts
If an account is suspended, refund requests are still handled under this policy. We may decline or delay a refund while we investigate abuse, a chargeback or a payment dispute.
